Toliara
The project started in 2002 with funding of Antenna Technologies by the construction of 4 pools of 10m2, an area of 40m2. Since 2003, extensions were made to reach today a total area of 560m2 ponds.
It sends free every month 2 kg of dry spirulina powder form for each nutritional center it supports (Belemboka / Toliara, Ihosy, Fianarantsoa and Mampikony).
The balance of spirulina is sold in a pharmacy and a private hospital in Toliara, a Catholic clinic in Antananarivo, the Fisheries Institute students, as well as direct sales to the farm.
Ibity
Construction of 300 m² of ponds in the village of Ibity (20 km south of Antsirabe) near the cement plant for Holcim (main partner of Antenna for this realization) that built basic facilities, and helped us for the extension. This proximity will also facilitate the supply water and electricity.The farm has a production capacity of 380 kg of dry spirulina per year for free treatment for 1,500 children annually. A third of production is the subject of gifts. The packaging is in the form of packets of 50 or 100g, usually in the form of capsules.
Ambohimena
Installation of 30 m2 for the Association of Children of the Sun. This facility produces between 35 and 40 kg of dry spirulina per year to support 450 children attending the center of the Children of the Sun in Antsirabe or nutrition centers they charge.La the farm is operational since June 2006. This program was used to hire a technician.
Ambano
Installing 60m2 for the Congregation of Our Lady of La Salette. Program has been operational since November 2006 which aims to produce 76 kg of spirulina per year to support 900 children, a goal reached in 2008! Two technicians dealing facilities.
Mahazina
30m2 Installation with associations and SOS Children Zazakely. The bearer of the program is association Vonjiaina. The goal is annual production of 38 kg of spirulina to support 300 children was exceeded! The farm has been operational since late June 2006 and was used to hire a technician.
Amadea Amadea
The association has also begun production of spirulina a 60m2 facility since May 2007. His goal is to produce 76 kg of spirulina to support 900 children. The production, conducted by two technicians, is currently about 70 kg per year.
Ile Sainte Marie Madagascar
your retail association and the French association Solidarité Malagasy 35, launched a program to 60m2 Ambodifoara (east coast of Sainte Marie), operating since July 2007. The program manager was Ibity formed on site. Spirulina is distributed to children at the orphanage of the Home of Hope.
Fianarantsoa
A project of 100m2 will start in conjunction with Children of the Sun in Fianarantsoa, and with the financial participation of Antenna Technologies and an association of students of Lille, La Goutte d'Eau.
On the research side
Fisheries Institute of Marine Sciences (IHSM) in Toliara already has a research program conducted by Spirulina Scientific Malagasy Ms. Ravelo Vololonavolana.
