Thick Dark Red Mucus Period

The limits of logical extension of the rebellion's failure

"In the footsteps of the Tunisian model", "an echo of the Egyptian revolution" .... analysis of Arab rebellions multiply and sometimes questionable comparisons lead us to relativize the significance of these movements without of course denying its expandability.

Perceptions are important. In the Tunisian case one may think they are limited to the Arab world. Indeed, Tunisians have always been despised by their immediate environment : treated with low and women (...) by their neighbors or even "nation of waiters" by Algerians (referring to their dependence on the tourism sector). The Tunisian origin of the current rebellion is highly symbolic for the Arab world. Tunisian rebellion gave boldness and courage to the rest of the Arab world.
Each actor has its own logic, consider the example of Djibouti.

Facts : From the beginning of February the clashes began. Only two out of 180 law students have passed their exams the first half. Students are taken to the streets to express their anger (shops looted, cars burnt ...). The reasons for their anger? The rumor that the government wants to bring down the unemployment figures, has tried to delay the entry of young graduates in the job market. So a relatively independent genesis events in the Arab world.

Context: The context is of course particular. Djibouti is growing pre-election since the presidential elections to be held on April 8 next . The current president Guelleh run for a third term. Around the world the elections were a period of fragility where (re) born civil wars and frustrations of people who feel marginalized.

Continued movement: the opposition had planned a march for weeks February 18, the context is burning even more conducive to see the situation escalate. Actually see the different movements the death of several protesters and policemen, opponents will be arrested, immediately tried and imprisoned. So just from this event as "the Tunisian example is included. Djibouti opposition Monday condemned the "brutal repression" of the event on February 18, demanding "a democratic and peaceful change" plan "like Tunisia."
Given this example we are keeping all of hyperresponsiveness in the analysis of current events ... Let us not rush to see in all social movements present extensions of disorders in the Arab world. Each actor has its own logic and answer sets internal powers.
