The General Assembly of the Association of Friends of Heritage in Madagascar, or Aron'ny harembako-pirenena Malagasy (NPA), held Saturday, February 26 at the Malagasy Academy, has seen renewed for a further term of association president, Désiré Razafindrazaka. A new configuration of the Board of Directors has also emerged with, including as vice president of writer and lawyer Johary Ravaloson.
2010 was for the NPA a busy year. Indeed, in addition to volunteers, they have a permanent team coordinated by the planner Mihobisoa Rakotomahandry, and was able to launch various missions of expertise to the restoration and enhancement of heritage buildings in Madagascar.
In addition, the association opened the Centre for Research, Studies and Documentation (CREDO) gathering numerous documents and archives on culture, heritage and history of Madagascar in its headquarters to Andrainarivo. This center is available to researchers, students and the general public.
