Environmental Governance

In Madagascar, natural resources cover more 22% of the territory of which only 3% are protected areas. We are not aware that the degradation speed of these resources represents a threat to the nation and humanity. Bushfires and farms and illegal abuse of these resources are the main factors of this degradation, estimated at 0.8% per year.

To defend the interests of the Malagasy population, the Alliance Voahary Gasy (AVG) has drawn a source of creation in 2009 in the protection of forests and environment.
